A photo-led site and self-serve CMS for a NYC rock band, designed, built, and shipped end to end.
Overview
Dog House is a New York City rock band that gigs constantly but had no website and no link in bio, so I designed and built them one. The public site is a dark, photo-led single page that turns the band's own concert photography into the hub for shows, music, and booking, with an email capture so they keep their fans. Behind it sits a self-serve CMS: the band logs into an admin dashboard and edits shows, photos, bio, and links themselves, and the public page reflects every change instantly.
What it involved
- A 'Backstage' visual direction grounded in design research: near-black, photo-led, with one electric accent pulled from the band's actual stage lighting.
- Full-viewport hero, a live shows list, a keyboard-accessible gallery lightbox, and a join-the-list email capture.
- A self-serve admin CMS with password login: the band manages shows, gallery uploads and ordering, bio, and links without touching code.
- Content and photos live on Vercel Blob, and the public pages render dynamically, so edits go live the moment the band saves.
